United Musicians will released Feelin' Kinda Patton, the first full-length recording for Patton Oswalt. Recorded live at the 40 Watt Club in Athens. The album offers the wickedly insightful reflections that earned him a place as one of Variety's "10 Comedians to Watch" and Entertainment Weekly's "It" comedian for 2002. As he does on his HBO and Comedy Central specials, Patton effortlessly shifts gears on Feelin' Kinda Patton from the surreal to the high brow. He invites his audience to rise to the occasion, peppering throw away-lines with a poetic sensibility and covering his cruder lines with an elegant finish. From Tivo as a problem child to his spot on impersonation of Robert Evans during his infamous stint as spokesperson for ESPN, Patton avoids typical comedic fare such as "Didja ever notice?" and gender relations routines. In addition to headlining spots at clubs throughout the U.S., Patton is familiar to many as Spence on CBS's The King of Queens, a regular panelist on Late Night With Conan O'Brian, co-host on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and has appeared on Seinfeld, Newsradio, The Man Show and Crank Yankers. He has also opened for Aimee Mann and Michael Penn on their 2000 Acoustic Vaudeville Tour. As well as playing the doomed skin diver on Magnolia his numerous film credits include Starsky and Hutch, Zoolander, Man on the Moon and Down Periscope. |
